About

I discovered my love of flowers at an early age, in fact one of my earliest childhood memories is the smell of the beautiful Old English Roses in my parent’s garden. A scent which is still my absolute favourite!

In 1995 I began my journey into the wonderful crazy world of floristry when I started working for world renowned florist and designer Sylvia Bird in her Surrey shop. It was then that I realised there was more to flowers…and arranging them than meets the eye. It takes passion, skill and artistic flair to create breathtaking designs and through her mentoring I began to discover I had all of these abilities.

I completed my formal training at a college in Surrey in 1997 before moving to glorious Somerset in 2002….a move I most definitely don’t regret as I feel very grateful to be surrounded daily by such beauty and inspiration.

I now have 20 years experience within the floristry industry, during which time I have provided floral displays for hundreds of weddings and events, competed in regional competitions, taken part in Chelsea Flower Show and even provided the odd arrangement for a few celebrities (ssh I won’t name drop!).

Alongside running Blooming Divine I’m an associate lecturer for a local college, teaching floristry evening classes and also run workshops imparting my knowledge onto those who share the same passion for flowers!

I realise that choosing the right florist is vitally important and I always feel very privileged when I’m given the opportunity to share in your special day. Working closely with my wholesale suppliers and using the wealth of knowledge I have gained,  I always go to the utmost effort to fulfill your dreams and create memories that will last forever.
